Sam is a Graduate Consultant at Apex Transport Planning, supporting the delivery of transport planning advice across a range of development projects.
He joined Apex in 2024 after graduating from the University of the West of England with a degree in Geography.
Sam supports project teams through technical analysis and reporting, including swept path analysis, access design support, active travel audits, road safety reviews and traffic and parking survey analysis. He also contributes to the preparation of transport reports and provides support on site layout and access considerations.
His academic work focused on attitudes towards electric vehicles, reflecting a wider interest in sustainable transport and future mobility. Sam applies this interest in practice by supporting
assessments that consider sustainable travel, safety and deliverability, while continuing to develop his technical capability across a broad range of project types.
Sam approaches his work with enthusiasm and a willingness to engage with complex transport issues, supporting the team in delivering viable, well-considered projects.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys staying active through sport, particularly football, and has recently taken up golf. He also likes exploring Bristol’s bars and restaurants and has a long-standing interest in travel, having spent time along the US East Coast and in Southeast Asia.
