She specialises in drainage, sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), site levels and highway design, combining technical expertise with practical engineering judgement to support successful development.
Prior to joining Apex, Olivia worked at a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, where she managed projects and oversaw a design team. Her experience spans early feasibility and planning through to detailed design and technical approvals, ranging from smaller developments to major multi-phase residential schemes comprising thousands of homes, alongside education and data centre projects.
I’m excited to be part of the team at Apex, helping to strengthen our engineering capabilities and bringing practical design solutions to projects from the earliest stages.
Away from work, I enjoy walking my spaniel in the Forest of Dean, camping and going to the theatre. She also advises on highway design, site levels and earthworks strategies, including 3D modelling, cut and fill assessments, accessible plot design and highway adoption under Section 38 agreements. Her understanding of technical approval requirements helps ensure that proposals are designed with delivery and adoption in mind.
Olivia particularly enjoys working with clients at the earliest stages of a project, where thoughtful engineering input can help unlock development opportunities and add value. By identifying drainage, levels and infrastructure constraints early, she helps shape site layouts, minimise unnecessary earthworks and avoid costly design changes later in the process.
Olivia brings a collaborative, solutions-focused approach to her work, working closely with clients, transport planners, architects and wider design teams to develop coordinated, buildable solutions. She places strong importance on clear communication and sound professional judgement, helping clients make informed decisions and progress projects with confidence.
