Lewis is a Technical Director at Apex Transport Planning with over 20 years’ experience in transport planning across both the public and private sectors. He brings a strong combination of technical expertise, practical judgement and a clear understanding of how planning decisions are made.
Lewis spent ten years working in local government on behalf of highway authorities. During this time, he reviewed and assessed planning applications, contributed to local plans and site allocations, and advised on transport policy, access strategy and highway design requirements. This experience has given him a detailed understanding of development management processes and the perspectives of planning and highway decision-makers.
For the past ten years, Lewis has worked in consultancy roles, supporting developers and landowners through all stages of the planning process, from early feasibility and masterplanning through to planning approval and post-permission delivery. He has extensive experience preparing Transport Assessments and Transport Statements, Travel Plans, access appraisals, transport strategies and Transport Chapters for Environmental Statements.
