About Grant Price

Grant is an Associate at Apex Transport Planning with over 10 years’ experience delivering transport planning and highway advice across a wide range of development projects throughout England and Wales.

Grant has developed his expertise within multi-disciplinary engineering and planning consultancies, giving him a strong grounding in both transport planning and technical highway design. He supports projects from early feasibility and land acquisition through planning submission and post-consent delivery, providing clear, proportionate advice that helps projects progress efficiently.

He has extensive experience preparing Transport Assessments and Transport Statements, Travel Plans and Transport Chapters for Environmental Statements, alongside advising on access strategy, mitigation measures and highway design considerations. He also regularly leads on junction modelling and traffic impact assessments. He applies sound professional judgement to identify practical and deliverable solutions that address the concerns of highway authorities.

I work closely alongside my colleagues at Apex to deliver the very best outcomes for our clients.

Away from work, I enjoy travelling in my campervan to our favourite family spot on the Gower Peninsula, getting to gigs and festivals, and taking opportunities to head away skiing.

Grant is able to identify practical, deliverable solutions that respond to national and local transport policies and address the requirements of highway authorities.

He has significant experience engaging proactively with local highway authorities and statutory consultees, supporting pre‑application discussions, responding to technical comments, and negotiating agreed positions to reduce the risk in applications and delivering viable planning consents. He places a strong emphasis on deliverability, ensuring that mitigation measures, access designs, and construction traffic arrangements are practical to implement and capable of being secured through planning conditions and legal agreements, where required.

Grant has particular expertise in the transport‑related aspects of renewable energy schemes, including access feasibility, abnormal load routing, construction traffic management, and the design of site accesses and on‑site infrastructure to accommodate specialist and construction vehicles. He works closely with project teams and highway authorities to develop robust solutions that respond to sensitive rural environments, constrained highway networks, and evolving policy requirements.

Grant also undertakes active travel and non-motorised user audits, oversees Road Safety Audits and manages traffic and parking surveys, supporting the delivery of schemes that promote sustainable travel choices and improved safety outcomes.

He brings a thorough, problem-solving approach to his work, with a strong focus on producing clear technical outputs that support positive planning outcomes and reflect the wider objectives of each project.
