He combines strong technical expertise with practical engineering judgement and a clear understanding of how highway design supports successful development.
Prior to joining Apex, Jordan spent more than a decade in private consultancy, supporting projects from early feasibility and planning approval through detailed design and construction. His experience spans the residential, commercial and education sectors, where he has developed practical, compliant and deliverable highway solutions that respond to both engineering and planning requirements.
Jordan also brings valuable public sector experience from his time with the South Wales Trunk Road Agent on behalf of the Welsh Government. This experience gave him a detailed understanding of public sector procurement, contract administration and infrastructure delivery. In this role, he managed multi-million-pound capital maintenance and renewal programmes, overseeing procurement, delivery and contract administration within established design and construction frameworks.
These combined experiences have shaped Jordan’s expertise in highway engineering and his understanding of its pivotal role in development planning. He believes that robust, well-considered highway design is essential to unlocking land, securing planning approvals and delivering safe, efficient and sustainable infrastructure. For Jordan, Highway Engineering is a core component that transforms a planning vision into a practical, buildable reality.
I am looking forward to working alongside my colleagues at Apex to provide detailed design solutions.
Away from work, I enjoy walking (with and without my dog!), sport and music. He also has a detailed understanding of the legal and technical processes required to deliver works on the public highway. He applies sound engineering judgement throughout the design process, helping clients overcome technical challenges and progress projects efficiently from concept through to construction.
Jordan particularly enjoys working on technically challenging projects, where good engineering can unlock development opportunities and add value from the earliest stages of the planning process.
His experience includes national trunk road schemes, large-scale residential developments and active travel projects. He has led the design of complex roundabouts, signal-controlled junctions and ghost island right-turn layouts, producing highway solutions that are technically robust, compliant and practical to deliver. He enjoys working closely with transport planners, architects and wider design teams to develop engineering solutions that are well coordinated, buildable and deliverable.
Jordan brings a calm, methodical approach to his work, combining robust engineering judgement with clear communication and a collaborative working style. He works closely with clients, highway authorities and wider project teams to resolve technical challenges and deliver engineering solutions that support successful planning and development outcomes.
